As new year’s eve approaches, I can’t help but reflect on how quickly this year has gone. It feels like only a moment ago when I was embracing spring and enjoying summer. It has been a wonderfully packed year, filled with plenty of new memories, fun activities, and a renewed appreciation of the everyday. To everyone I have known, met or interacted with, and whose friendship, acquaintance or presence touched, inspired or taught me – thank you. Without you, 2010 wouldn’t have been the year it was for me.

2011 is a blank canvas. I do wonder at the picture that will be painted. Whatever it is, I hope it will be another masterpiece.  May it be filled with new opportunity, thrilling excitement, wonderful experiences, and the gumption to keep stepping out of my comfort zone.

I often think that even though we would definitely like the new car, or to win lotto or get that great new job, that at the end of the day, what we all want is basically the same, that is, to be happy within ourselves. Seems so simple, yet so unattainable – sometimes.

So rather than wish you a “Happy New Year”, I’d like to wish you a “new Happy Year”. May it be everything that you want it to be.
