Wow, never thought I’d say this, but the grass is getting brown with all the warm weather. Not that I’m complaining. Some afternoons are quite humid, but the evening cools down quite quickly. I’ve seen the gardener watering the plants mid-afternoon. It’s a strange sight for me, as I’m so used to watering the gardens at 7 pm in the evening when the full heat of the day has gone. Still, water is not a problem in this country, at least not that I’ve heard.

An expat living abroad in Europe - an export really. Ten years on and I’m no longer the accidental tourist. Europe, UK, Australia, Singapore/Malaysia - I’ve either travelled extensively or lived there. I love travel - the journey, the history, the people, the adventure, the learning. Seeing the world with new eyes and just appreciating what is there. How far the journey I have come. My latest craze is hiking long distance trails - mainly along old monastic / pilgrimage routes. I love old buildings and it’s a way of connecting me with people from the past, their hopes and dreams. Travel taught me, that people are basically the same. And it is through food and culture that we come to have a dialogue. I am incredibly grateful. Thank you for spending some time with me. And do leave a comment so that I know you’ve been by.
